Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Man with Van Bromley in respect of our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to help prevent modern slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking, and to act ethically and with integrity in all our dealings.

We are a transport and removals business providing man and van services to domestic and commercial customers. Although we are a relatively small organisation, we acknowledge that modern slavery can exist in every sector and jurisdiction. We are therefore committed to taking proportionate and effective steps to reduce the risk of exploitation within both our own operations and those of our suppliers and partners.

Our Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Bromley has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance policy to modern slavery and human trafficking. Any form of forced, bonded or compulsory labour, child labour that is exploitative, or trafficking of people is strictly prohibited within our business and our supply chain.

We expect all individuals working for or on behalf of Man with Van Bromley, including employees, subcontractors, agency workers and other third parties, to share this commitment. Any breach or suspected breach of this policy will be treated as a serious matter and may result in termination of contracts, removal from our approved supplier list, and reporting to relevant authorities where appropriate.

Our Supply Chain and Supplier Audits

Our supply chain primarily consists of vehicle hire and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, packaging and equipment suppliers, and subcontracted drivers or porters. We seek to work only with reputable suppliers who uphold high standards of ethical conduct and labour practices.

As part of our due diligence process, we conduct proportionate checks on new suppliers before entering into a business relationship. These checks may include obtaining written confirmation that the supplier complies with applicable labour, employment and human rights laws and that they have their own policies and procedures to prevent modern slavery.

We are progressively introducing supplier audits for higher risk categories, which may involve reviewing policies, training records and employment practices. Where we identify potential concerns, we will engage with the supplier to seek clarification, require corrective actions, or, where issues are not resolved, consider ending the relationship.

Reporting Concerns and Raising Issues

We encourage open communication and are committed to ensuring that all workers and third parties are able to report concerns about modern slavery safely and confidentially. Any worker, supplier or member of the public who suspects that modern slavery may be occurring in our operations or supply chain is encouraged to raise their concerns as soon as possible.

Concerns can be raised directly with management or through any established reporting channel within our organisation. Reports will be treated seriously and investigated promptly and sensitively. We will not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against any person who raises a concern in good faith, even if it turns out to be unfounded.

Training and Awareness

We are committed to increasing awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and key suppliers. Relevant employees are provided with information on how to recognise indicators of exploitation, what steps to take if they have concerns, and how our zero-tolerance approach is applied in day-to-day operations.

As our business and supply chain evolve, we aim to strengthen our training and guidance further, with a focus on managers and those involved in procurement, supplier relationships and subcontractor management.

Monitoring, Governance and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery rests with the business owner and senior management of Man with Van Bromley. They ensure that appropriate policies are in place, that risks are periodically assessed, and that improvement actions are implemented where needed.

This statement and our underlying procedures are reviewed at least annually, or more frequently if there are significant changes in our operations, supply chain or legal requirements. The review considers the effectiveness of our measures, any incidents or concerns raised, and opportunities to enhance our controls and training.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Bromley and represents our ongoing commitment to operating with integrity, respecting human rights, and playing our part in the global effort to eradicate modern slavery.
